Η Μήτηρ Εκκλησία Κωνσταντινουπόλεως – Μήτηρ και αυτής της Εκκλησίας της Ρωσσίας – εκφράζει τη βαθύτατη θλίψη της για τη νέα ρωσσική επίθεση κατά του προσώπου της Α.Θ. Παναγιότητος του Οικουμενικού Πατριάρχου κ.κ. Βαρθολομαίου, την οποία εξαπέλυσαν, αυτή τη φορά, κρατικές υπηρεσίες της χώρας. Από το 2018, οπότε το Οικουμενικό Πατριαρχείο αποφάσισε την παραχώρηση Αυτοκεφάλου καθεστώτος στην Εκκλησία της Ουκρανίας, η Μήτηρ Εκκλησία απέφυγε να σχολιάσει τις αναρίθμητες παρόμοιες επιθέσεις που προήλθαν είτε από εκκλησιαστικά είτε από πολιτικά κέντρα και πρόσωπα της Ρωσσίας. Το ίδιο πράττει και σήμερα.

Τα ευφάνταστα σενάρια, οι ψευδείς ειδήσεις, οι ύβρεις και οι κατασκευασμένες πληροφορίες κάθε είδους προπαγανδιστών δεν αποθαρρύνουν το Οικουμενικό Πατριαρχείο από τη συνέχιση της διακονίας και της οικουμενικής αποστολής του.

La Iglesia Madre de Constantinopla —Madre también de la Iglesia de Rusia— expresa su más profunda tristeza por el nuevo ataque ruso dirigido contra la persona de Su Toda Santidad el Patriarca Ecuménico Bartolomé, ataque que en esta ocasión ha sido lanzado por servicios estatales del país. Desde 2018, cuando el Patriarcado Ecuménico decidió conceder el estatuto de autocefalia a la Iglesia de Ucrania, la Iglesia Madre ha evitado comentar los innumerables ataques similares provenientes tanto de ámbitos eclesiásticos como de centros y figuras políticas de Rusia. Lo mismo hace hoy.

Los escenarios fantasiosos, las noticias falsas, los insultos y las informaciones fabricadas de todo tipo por propagandistas no desaniman al Patriarcado Ecuménico de continuar con su ministerio y su misión ecuménica.

The Mother Church of Constantinople —the Mother also of the Church of Russia— expresses its profound sorrow at the new Russian attack directed against the person of His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, an attack which, on this occasion, has been launched by state agencies of the country. Since 2018, when the Ecumenical Patriarchate decided to grant autocephalous status to the Church of Ukraine, the Mother Church has refrained from commenting on the countless similar attacks originating from both ecclesiastical and political centres and figures in Russia. It does the same today.

The fanciful scenarios, false news, insults, and fabricated information of every kind disseminated by propagandists do not deter the Ecumenical Patriarchate from continuing its ministry and its ecumenical mission.
