Η Α.Θ. Παναγιότης ο Οικουμενικός Πατριάρχης Βαρθολομαίος, με επίσημο Πατριαρχικό Γράμμα προς την Α.Μ. τον Βασιλέα της Ισπανίας Φίλιππο Στ΄, εκφράζει τα θερμά συλλυπητήρια του Οικουμενικού Θρόνου και του ιδίου προσωπικώς για τα θύματα του τραγικού σιδηροδρομικού δυστυχήματος που συνέβη στην επαρχία της Κόρδοβα, καθώς και τη συμπαράστασή του προς τους οικογενείς αυτών, αλλά και προς όλους όσοι τραυματίστηκαν.
“Σε αυτή τη στιγμή εθνικού πένθους για το Βασίλειο της Ισπανίας, σπεύδουμε να μεταφέρουμε τα ολόψυχα συλλυπητήριά μας στην Μεγαλειότητά Σας, τη Βασιλική Οικογένεια και τον ισπανικό λαό. Θρηνούμε με όσους θρηνούν την πρόωρη απώλεια των αγαπημένων τους προσώπων και προσφέρουμε τις θερμές μας δεήσεις υπέρ ιάσεως και ταχείας αναρρώσεως των τραυματιών.
Από το Φανάρι, στεκόμαστε αλληλέγγυοι με τη Μεγαλειότητά Σας, ικετεύοντας τον Θεό της παρηγορίας να δώσει δύναμη και υπομονή στις πενθηφορούσες οικογένειες και να καθοδηγήσει και να προστατεύσει το προσωπικό έκτακτης ανάγκης στις ευγενείς και ανιδιοτελείς προσπάθειές του.”, σημειώνει μεταξύ άλλων ο Παναγιώτατος.

Su Santidad el Patriarca Ecuménico Bartolomé, mediante una Carta Patriarcal oficial dirigida a Su Majestad el Rey de España, Felipe VI, expresa las más sentidas condolencias del Trono Ecuménico y las suyas personales por las víctimas del trágico accidente ferroviario ocurrido en la provincia de Córdoba, así como su solidaridad con sus familiares y con todos los heridos.
«En este momento de luto nacional para el Reino de España, nos apresuramos a transmitir nuestras más sinceras condolencias a Vuestra Majestad, a la Familia Real y al pueblo español. Lloramos con quienes lloran la prematura pérdida de sus seres queridos y elevamos nuestras fervientes oraciones por la curación y la pronta recuperación de los heridos.
Desde el Fanar, permanecemos solidarios con Vuestra Majestad, implorando al Dios de la consolación que conceda fortaleza y paciencia a las familias en duelo y que guíe y proteja al personal de emergencia en sus nobles y desinteresados esfuerzos», señala, entre otras cosas, Su Santidad.

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, through an official Patriarchal Letter addressed to His Majesty the King of Spain, Felipe VI, conveys the heartfelt condolences of the Ecumenical Throne and his own personal condolences for the victims of the tragic railway accident that occurred in the province of Córdoba, as well as his solidarity with their families and with all those who were injured.
