Την 20η Νοεμβρίου ο Σεβασμιώτατος Μητροπολίτης μας, στα
πλαίσια του πανχριστιανικού εορτασμού της επετείου των 1700 ετών από την
σύγκλιση της Α’ Οικουμενικής Συνόδου της Νίκαιας (325-2025), με συνεργάτες της
Μητροπόλεως συμμετείχαν στην Οικουμενική προσευχή, στον Ρ/Κ Καθεδρικό ναό της
Μαδρίτης Santa
Maria la Real de
Almudena, η οποία διοργανώθηκε από την Ρ/Κ
επισκοπική Συνέλευση της Ισπανίας. Στην εν λόγω οικουμενική προσευχή παρέστησαν
πληθώρα Ρ/Κ επισκόπων προς του οποίους ο Μητροπολίτης μας στο τέλος της
ακολουθίας απηύθυνε χαιρετισμό μεταφέροντας και τις ευλογίες τη ΑΘΠ του
Οικουμενικού Πατριάρχου κκ Βαρθολομαίου Α’.
Η Μητρόπολή μας τύπωσε μικρά εικονίδια με την Ιερά μορφή του Ισπανού Αγίου της Α’ Οικουμενικής Συνόδου Οσίου Κορδούης τα οποία και διανεμήθηκαν ως ευλογία στους επισκόπους και σε όλο το εκκλησίασμα μαζί με το ήδη προετοιμασθέν τευχίδιο αυτής της ακολουθίας.
Στα πλαίσια αυτού του εορτασμού ο Σεβασμιώτατος μετέβη την 26η Νοεμβρίου στην πόλη της Σαραγόσας προσκεκλημένος από τον Ρ/Κ αρχιεπίσκοπο don Carlos Manuel Escribano Subías, ώστε να συμμετάσχει σε ανάλογη τελετή στον Ρ/Κ Καθεδρικό Ναό της πόλεως, κατά την οποία επίσης απηύθυνε τον χαιρετισμό της Ορθοδόξου Μητροπόλεώς μας καθώς και την ευλογία του Παναγιωτάτου.
Κατά την διάρκεια της παρουσίας του στην επαρχία της Σαραγόσα επισκέφτηκε την Ρ/Κ κοινότητα “Comunidad Chemin Neuf” η οποία στεγάζεται στην Cartuja Aula Dei όπου έτυχε ολόθερμης υποδοχής και φιλοξενίας από τα μέλη της και προσκληθείς ομίλησε για την σημασία της Α΄ Οικουμενικής Συνόδου στο σήμερα στον χώρο της βιβλιοθήκης της κοινότητος.
Η Μητρόπολή μας το διήμερο 24-25 Νοεμβρίου συμμετείχε στο συνδιοργανωθέν συμπόσιο με τίτλο "El retorno del Aura. La actualidad de la cultura bizantina" (Η επιστροφή της Αύρας. Η επικαιρότητα του βυζαντινού πολιτισμού) με την Φιλοσοφική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου Complutense της Μαδρίτης χάρη στην πρωτοπόρα ιδέα και πρωτοβουλία του ελλογιμοτάτου καθηγητού κ. Χάρη Παπούλια, με την ομιλία του ελλογ. κ. Ιωάννου Δέδε αρχιτέκτονος και συνεργάτου της Μητροπόλεώς μας με θέμα “Ego sum lux mundi”: Light in Byzantine and Contemporary Sacred Architecture” και την Παρέμβαση του Σεβασμιωτάτου κατά την καταληκτήριο συνεδρία.
Την Κυριακή 30 Νοεμβρίου, ημέρα πανηγύρεως του Καθεδρικού μας Ναού
ο Ποιμενάρχης μας προέστη της θείας Λειτουργίας εν πληθούσει Εκκλησία. Η χαρά
της πανηγύρεως εφέτος υπήρξε ιδιαίτερη με την εξόχως τιμητική προσευχητική
παρουσία του Σεβ. Καδριναλίου José Cobo, Ρ/Κ αρχιεπισκόπου Μαδρίτης, (για πρώτη φορά
σε πανήγυρη του Καθεδρικού) εν αναλογία με την παρουσία της Α.Α. του Πάπα
Λέοντος ΙΔ’ στην χαρά της Θρονικής εορτής της Μητέρας Εκκλησίας της
Κωνσταντινουπόλεως.
Την 6η Δεκεμβρίου, μνήμη του Αγίου Νικολάου αρχιεπισκόπου Μύρων, ο
Σεβασμιώτατος τέλεσε την θεία λειτουργία στην πανηγυρίζουσα ουκρανόφωνη ενορία
στην πόλη του Αλικάντε, όπου είχε την ευκαιρία να συναντηθεί με το εκεί
ορθόδοξο ποίμνιο και να τους ευχηθεί για τις εγγίζουσες εορτές του Αγίου
Δωδακαημέρου.

El 20 de noviembre, Su Eminencia nuestro Metropolitano, en el marco de la celebración pancristiana del 1700.º aniversario de la convocatoria del I Concilio Ecuménico de Nicea (325-2025), junto con colaboradores de la Metrópolis, participó en la oración ecuménica celebrada en la Catedral Católica Romana de Madrid, Santa María la Real de la Almudena, organizada por la Conferencia Episcopal Española. En dicha oración ecuménica estuvieron presentes numerosos obispos católicos romanos, a quienes, al final del oficio, nuestro Metropolitano dirigió un saludo, transmitiendo asimismo las bendiciones de Su Toda Santidad el Patriarca Ecuménico, Bartolomé I.
Nuestra Metrópolis imprimió pequeños iconos con la santa imagen del santo español del I Concilio Ecuménico, San Osio de Córdoba, los cuales fueron distribuidos como bendición a los obispos y a todo el pueblo fiel, junto con el cuadernillo previamente preparado de dicho oficio.
En el marco de esta celebración, Su Eminencia se trasladó el 26 de noviembre a la ciudad de Zaragoza, invitado por el arzobispo católico romano don Carlos Manuel Escribano Subías, para participar en una ceremonia similar en la Catedral católica romana de la ciudad, durante la cual también dirigió el saludo de nuestra Metrópolis Ortodoxa y transmitió la bendición de Su Toda Santidad.
Durante su estancia en la provincia de Zaragoza visitó la comunidad católica romana “Comunidad Chemin Neuf”, que tiene su sede en la Cartuja Aula Dei, donde recibió una calurosa acogida y hospitalidad por parte de sus miembros y, tras ser invitado, pronunció una conferencia sobre la importancia del I Concilio Ecuménico en la actualidad, en el espacio de la biblioteca de la comunidad.
Nuestra Metrópolis participó los días 24 y 25 de noviembre en el simposio organizado conjuntamente con la Facultad de Filosofía de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, titulado «El retorno del Aura. La actualidad de la cultura bizantina», gracias a la idea pionera y a la iniciativa del ilustre profesor Sr. Jaris Papulias, con la ponencia del ilustre Sr. Ioannis Dede, arquitecto y colaborador de nuestra Metrópolis, titulada “Ego sum lux mundi: Light in Byzantine and Contemporary Sacred Architecture”, así como con la intervención de Su Eminencia en la sesión de clausura.
El domingo 30 de noviembre, día de la fiesta patronal de nuestra Catedral, nuestro Pastor presidió la Divina Liturgia ante una iglesia repleta de fieles. La alegría de la celebración fue este año especialmente grande por la sumamente honorífica presencia orante de Su Eminencia el Cardenal José Cobo, arzobispo católico romano de Madrid (por primera vez en una fiesta patronal de la Catedral), en analogía con la presencia de Su Santidad el Papa León XIV en la celebración de la fiesta tronal de la Iglesia Madre de Constantinopla.
El 6 de diciembre, memoria de San Nicolás, arzobispo de Mira de Licia, Su Eminencia celebró la Divina Liturgia en la parroquia ucranófona que celebraba su fiesta en la ciudad de Alicante, donde tuvo la oportunidad de encontrarse con el rebaño ortodoxo local y desearles bendiciones con motivo de las próximas fiestas del Navidad

On 20 November, His Eminence our Metropolitan, within the framework of the pan-Christian celebration of the 1700th anniversary of the convocation of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea (325–2025), together with collaborators of the Metropolis, took part in the Ecumenical Prayer held at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Madrid, Santa María la Real de la Almudena, organised by the Spanish Episcopal Conference. Numerous Roman Catholic bishops were present at this ecumenical prayer, to whom, at the conclusion of the service, our Metropolitan addressed a greeting, conveying also the blessings of His All-Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I.
Our Metropolis printed small icons bearing the sacred image of the Spanish saint of the First Ecumenical Council, Saint Hosius of Córdoba, which were distributed as a blessing to the bishops and to all the faithful, together with the booklet of the service that had been prepared in advance.
In the context of this celebration, on 26 November His Eminence travelled to the city of Zaragoza at the invitation of the Roman Catholic Archbishop, Don Carlos Manuel Escribano Subías, in order to participate in a similar ceremony at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the city, during which he likewise addressed the greeting of our Orthodox Metropolis and conveyed the blessing of His All-Holiness.
During his stay in the province of Zaragoza, he visited the Roman Catholic community “Chemin Neuf Community”, based at the Cartuja Aula Dei, where he received a warm welcome and hospitality from its members and, upon invitation, delivered a talk on the significance of the First Ecumenical Council for the present day, in the community’s library.
Our Metropolis also took part on 24–25 November in the jointly organised symposium entitled “The Return of the Aura: The Contemporary Relevance of Byzantine Culture”, held in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy of the Complutense University of Madrid, thanks to the pioneering idea and initiative of the distinguished Professor Mr Charis Papoulias. The symposium included a lecture by the distinguished Mr Ioannis Dede, architect and collaborator of our Metropolis, entitled “Ego sum lux mundi: Light in Byzantine and Contemporary Sacred Architecture”, as well as an address by His Eminence during the closing session.
On Sunday, 30 November, the feast day of our Cathedral, our Shepherd presided at the Divine Liturgy in a church filled with worshippers. The joy of the celebration was particularly great this year due to the highly honourable prayerful presence of His Eminence Cardinal José Cobo, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Madrid (for the first time at a cathedral feast), in analogy with the presence of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the celebration of the Throne Feast of the Mother Church of Constantinople.
On 6 December, the feast of Saint Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra, His Eminence celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the festal Ukrainian-speaking parish in the city of Alicante, where he had the opportunity to meet the local Orthodox faithful and to extend his wishes to them for the forthcoming feasts of the Holy Dodekahemeron.
